Jadi Granted Japan Patent on Environmentally Friendly Natural Oil-based Toner Resin

In continuous efforts towards eco-friendly solutions, Jadi Imaging Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (Jadi), was recently granted patent no. 5303800 on Environmentally-Friendly Natural Oil-based Toner Resin from the Japan Patent Office.  This achievement comes two years following the US Patent № 7,968,647 B2 received that recognized the above technology of making green resin from bio-based sources which may include various vegetable oils such as palm oil.

With the high amounts of cartridges used worldwide and the growing demand for remanufactured or compatible cartridges, the demand for toner and pressure on green printing is increasing. Yet, the production of most conventional toners today is made with high dependence on petroleum-based components. Jadi’s propriety technology is not only eco-friendly, but is also a source of quality toner material. By incorporating plant oil derivatives to create a green toner, high volume printing can be pursued without compromise on quality or anyone’s individual responsibility towards                                                   the environment.

Jadi sets a high internal benchmark on quality, and the acceptance of this proprietary technology to Japan’s exacting standards is another validation of Jadi’s commitment towards the research and development of toners and resins, as well as of eco-friendly printing solutions.
